Member-only story
We are going to look at the tale of three houses. Each house has a history of the people that lived in it. Grab your popcorn and coffee (there’s nothing wrong with consuming both at the same time), bring out your bottled reading glasses, turn off your phone and the lights. Light a candle, shut all the curtains and read on.
The Helena House — Ponty Lion, South Carolina
There was an old lady named Helena that lived in a 100-year-old house. The house sat atop of this little 200ft hill but around the home were 400ft fences.
Helena was a tall and skinny woman that always wore black. Everything inside her home was black. The walls were black. The couch was black. The kitchen was black. All of her 8 cats were black. When she bathes, she uses black body soap and washes her self in black dyed water. The only non-black item that existed in her home was her leopard patterned slippers. The black slippers were out of stock.
In the town of Ponty Lion, some people know of her but they have never seen her. They dare not to as people that trek past her home disappeared…
